I must say that when I heard about this new trend, as any trend that has been recycled from the 1960s-1980s in the past decade, I was a little bit scared .
Now don’t get me wrong, I am all for recycling fashion trends, but there are just some trends that should not be recycled. For example the leg warmers should have stayed in your mothers closet (we all know that you all have a special place in the back of the closet for flash from the past occasions!). While I wish that the 60s peasant skirts and headbands could still be seen as acceptable to wear in public.
There are fashions that should be recycled and fashion that never should have existed in the first place. One of the no-no fashions was the vest. I’m sorry, but really, there is not a single good thing about them. If you have them buttoned up them you look 10 pounds heavier. You need to have AMAZING arms to be able to pull them off sleeveless and if you wear them with no shirt underneath then you just look like a douchebag (sorry for the bluntness but there was no other way to say it).
So I’m giving this new trend a big fat no, na, nadda, not gonna happen!
