65th Emmy Awards

The 65th Annual Emmy Awards, held at the Nokia Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles, gave celebrities yet another excuse to call up their stylist and cash in those favors.

With awards won by Breaking Bad, Modern Family, and the Newsroom the night was filled with an air of hope, anticipation and many finger crossings. Now while most viewer watched the Emmy’s to cheer for their favorite television program, other such as myself, could not talk my eyes off of their outfits.

We had beauty, we had grace designs, we had please burn that dress NOW.

Sarah Hyland, actress of “Modern Family”, got it right with a stunning emerald dress(looks like someone has been watching Fashion Week!) designed by Carolina Herrera. Sarah, darling, you should consider making green your signature color.

Rose Byme, actress of “Damages”, is wearing a absolutely beautiful gown from the Calvin Klein collection. The shade of light pink is stunning against her skin tone and that slit in the mid drift gives it a slightly daring edge.

Lena Headey, actress of “Game of Thrones”, is wearing a unique and daring dress by  Alessandra Rich. Now, the age old question. Just because someone has the body for a piece of clothing, does that mean they should wear it?

While all of the women were, in their own ways, stunning during the Emmy’s; it was the men who in my book won Best Dress Award. From left to right, Steve Granitz, Jason Merritt, Frazer Harrison have proved to us that men can have just as much style and “swag” as any woman.

With event after event that have been going on for the past moth of September it’s a mystery of just how these celebrities can choose from any more outfits. I mean, common, haven’t you guys run out yet? Kudos to the designers, Kudos.
