Lena Dunham Cover

Lena Dunham, known for her leading role in the hit television show “Girls”, has just received her first ever vogue cover. And may I just say, it’s about time! Miss Dunham, though best known as being an actress, has also made her mark to fame through her work as a writer and comedian. She was even declared by Vogue, as well as the rest of the world, as the new Queen of Comedy in their February issue; joining the ranks of female comedians, such as, Tina Fey, Lucille Ball and Estelle Gretty. Miss Dunham’s new title is definitely well deserved.

But with the new title given and the experience of having her on the cover of Vogue for the first time, there seems to be one little fact that has slipped under the rug. In the February issue of Vogue, the twenty-seven year old star’s face was the only part of her captured. That’s right everyone. Vogue actually cropped out the rest of her body and blew up her face in order to fit the cover. Now, this wouldn’t be an issue if we were talking about a glamour model, but we’re not. Some viewers are speculating that the reason for the face crop is to cut out the actress/writer/comedian’s famous, romper wearing, curves.

Though the cover was a little of a disappointment, the featured article inside about her was anything but. In the interview, Miss Dunham talked about everything that was thrown her way. From her proud and beloved curves to her relationship with Fun’s Jack Antonoff to even her on screen alter-ego nudity scene, nothing was off limits. Though the interview we learned some interesting facts about Miss Dunham. We learned that she met her boyfriend on a blind date set up by his designer sister, Rachel Antonoff. She wishes to rescue rabbits and her fashion sense is worlds better then her mix matching, romper loving character on “Girls”.
Be sure to watch the season three premier of “Girls” airing this Sunday on HBO.
