If I am being completely honest with everyone, I feel that I must make a little confession; okay you got me, a big confession.
My confession is this, until I was seventeen years old I absolutely, positively, detested peanut putter. I know, I’m still trying to hide this sad sorry part of my childhood.
Now before everyone here starts to grab their pitchforks and light their torches, (I’m just going to pretend for a moment that we are in the book Frankenstein, so bare with me here), let me try to explain to everyone here just why I didn’t like peanut butter.
When I was a child I was extremely picky about the textures of my food, still kind of am; so it’s no surprise as to why I used to turn my nose up to a food that was both smooth and sticky. If I didn’t pay good of attention, my mother would slip some chunky version in with my sandwich, claiming that it was healthier because it had whole nuts.
I just did not like the texture of peanut butter at all. But then one day my sister made a comment; she said that I would like the taste, but I was just to focused on the texture to actually think of how it tasted. So with a nervous heart I told her to try me, next thing I knew there was a spoonful of peanut butter moose-track ice cream in front of me.
Long story short, I found out that I actually loved the taste of peanut butter, but could only eat it when it is incorporated into a recipe. So for all of you who are picky with textures, these recipes may just be perfect for you.
