Being a vegetarian, who is also on the paleo diet, is an oxymoron in it’s own right. Where vegetarians exclude all meat products from their diets (poultry, beef, pork, fish), those who have chosen to part take in the paleo lifestyle have been taught to fully embrace all food that naturally comes from the earth, meat being a main food source. With one lifestyle turning their noses to a food group and another sticking their fork in it with pleasure, it seems almost impossible to bring the two lifestyles together.
For those of you who are not fully aware of what the paleo lifestyle is, it is a diet that consist mainly of plant and animal products, forgoing any product that is man main or grains. Foods that are allowed are: Meats, Seafood, Oils, Nuts, Vegetables, and Fruits.
But it is not impossible to find a vegetarian who follows the paleo lifestyle. Now, don’t get me wrong, these people are very rare and hard to find. But as a person who followed this lifestyle for nearly a year, I can say that they are definitely out there.
The reason they are so rare, though, is because finding recipes that actually taste good are as rare as finding the dieter.
