Winter Body Scrubs

Two things have been instilled in us since we were little girls in regards to skin care -I can write an entire trilogy on all the other stuff. The first is that all natural is best and the second is that we must change our skincare with every weather change. You wouldn’t apply a serum during the summer sweats, would you?

Now, what better way to embrace the skincare of winter than by making your own body scrubs? These scrubs are specially designed to be the best for your skin during the colder and dry weather. They’re easy to make, all natural, and smell sweeter than that sugar cookie you snuck from Santa’s plate!

*In order to make these, just add the listed ingredients into a medium size mansion jar and seal tightly*

Gingerbread Sugar Scrub

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil (or other carrier oil)
  • 1/4 cup almond oil
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp all spice
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg

Chocolate Coconut Oil Scrub

  • 1 cup loosely packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil (in solid form)
  • 1/3 cup almond oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • a few drops of coconut extract or essential oil

Cranberry Sugar Scrub

  • 1 cup whole frozen or fresh cranberries
  • 2 cups Imperial Sugar Extra Fine Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 12 drop essential orange oil or fragrance

Apple Cinnamon Sugar Scrub

  • 1 cup coconut oil
  • 1½ cup Sugar
  • 1 Medium sized Apple (or Chamomile Essential Oil)
  • Cinnamon Extract (located in the baking aisle near the spices)
  • Sprinkle of Cinnamon Powder

Pumpkin Sugar Scrub

  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 1/2 tsp vitamin E oil
  • 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spices (or just 1/2 tsp cinnamon)
