Veggie Smoothies (That Actually Taste Good!)

When it comes to drinking your fruits and vegetables, things seem to fall into one of two categories. There are either fruit smoothies or vegetables juices (aka, green juices). It has come to the point of being almost rare to see a recipe for a fruit juice (unless you consider Tropicana to be a healthy juice. Please don’t consider that!) or a recipe for a vegetable smoothie.

I guess the thought of drinking pureed collard greens and kale doesn’t do it for some people?

But with today’s blenders – which can liquefy pretty much anything, thus preventing even the smallest piece of spinach from remaining whole – there’s almost no excuse to not make yourself a veggie smoothie. The days of fearing remaining veggies chunks are over! And with the added fiber of a smoothie, your belly will thank you for the change

*The direction for each smoothie is the same. Simply add to a blender and blend until smooth.*

Detox Green Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of Kale
  • 3 Celery Ribs
  • 1 cup of Swiss Chard
  • 1 Granny Smith Apple
  • 1/2 a Lime
  • 1/2 cup of Mint
  • 1 cup of Water or Coconut Water

Alkaline Power Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of Spinach (packed)
  • 1 cup of Parsley
  • 1/2 Pear
  • 1 tsp of Chia Seeds
  • 2 tsp of Almond Butter
  • 1 cup of Almond Milk

Heart Health Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of Kale
  • 1 cup of Spinach
  • 1 cup of Swiss Chard
  • 1 Cup of Parsley
  • 1 Orange
  • 1/4 Avocado
  • 1 tsp of Chia Seeds
  • 1/2 cup of Water or Coconut Water

Immunity Booster Smoothie

  • 4 Carrots (chopped!)
  • 2 Oranges
  • 1 tbsp of Grated Ginger
  • 1 cup of Coconut Water

Blood Pumping Smoothie

Apple, Carrot and Beet juice

Ingredients

  • 2 Beets (chopped!)
  • 1 Carrot (chopped)
  • 1 cup of Kale
  • 1 cup of Swiss Chard
  • 1/2 cup of Blue Berries
  • 1/2 cup of Blackberries
  • 1 tsp of Flaxseed
  • 1 cup of Water.
